Terms and Conditions for Content Creators

This agreement outlines the terms between you (the "Author") and Mesob Africa (the "Platform") for publishing and distributing your digital content.

1. Revenue Sharing

Author receives: 70% of net revenue from each sale

Platform retains: 30% to cover:

  • Payment processing fees
  • Hosting and storage (R2/CDN)
  • Platform maintenance and support
  • Marketing and discovery features

Net revenue = Sale price minus payment processing fees and applicable taxes

2. Copyright & Ownership

You retain full copyright ownership of your work. By submitting content, you:

  • Confirm you are the copyright owner or have legal publishing rights
  • Grant Mesob Africa a non-exclusive license to distribute your content
  • Warrant that your content does not infringe on third-party rights
  • Can remove your content at any time with 30 days notice
3. Content Standards

Your content must:

  • Be original work or properly licensed
  • Not contain illegal, defamatory, or infringing material
  • Not promote hate speech or violence
  • Meet basic quality standards for publication
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
4. Platform Rights

Mesob Africa reserves the right to:

  • Review all submissions before publication (24-48 hours)
  • Request changes or additional information
  • Set or adjust final pricing (in consultation with author)
  • Remove content that violates these terms
  • Suspend accounts for repeated violations
5. Digital Rights & Protection

Personal Use License:

Books sold through Mesob Africa are licensed for personal, non-commercial use only.

Technical Protection:

  • Secure delivery via time-limited signed URLs
  • No download option - streaming/viewing only
  • Limited to 2 devices per user
  • Access logging and abuse prevention

Prohibited:

  • Redistribution or file sharing
  • Commercial use without permission
  • Circumventing technical protection measures
6. Payment Terms
  • Payments processed monthly for sales exceeding $50
  • Payment via bank transfer or PayPal (author's choice)
  • Full sales reports available in author dashboard
  • Authors responsible for their own taxes
7. Termination

By Author:

You may remove your content with 30 days written notice. You will receive payment for all sales during the notice period.

By Platform:

Mesob Africa may terminate this agreement immediately for:

  • Copyright infringement or legal violations
  • Repeated quality standard violations
  • Fraudulent activity
8. Support & Updates
  • Authors receive email notifications for sales and reviews
  • Access to author dashboard with analytics
  • Platform support via email: [email protected]
  • You may update your content at any time (subject to review)
9. Liability & Disputes
  • Authors indemnify Mesob Africa against copyright claims
  • Platform not liable for sales performance or user reviews
  • Disputes resolved through mediation, then arbitration
  • Governed by laws of the author's country of residence

By checking "I agree to the Author Agreement" during submission, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood this agreement
  • You accept all terms and conditions
  • You have the legal right to publish this content
  • All information provided is accurate and truthful
